With experience starring, people flooding the heart of Mount Parnon and the village of Vamvakou bursting with voices and smiles, Vamvakou Experience Festival 2022 came this year too to an end, organised on July, 1 to 3 by Vamvakou Revival with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
During this three-day feast set up in Vamvakou, ceramics mingled with robotics and 3D printing, aromatherapy encountered wine tasting, play opened a dialogue with hiking and cycling, while chocolate met up with architecture. Experiments and puppets gave their place to basketball, recycling was revealed, stand-up comedy stole the show, stories from the countryside and the custom of wedding came to life at an altitude of 900 meters and the notes of “yesterday” made it to “today”. And all this along with scores of people who headed to the mountains for Vamvakou Mountain Run.
Culture, sports, innovation, gastronomy and whatever else comes to mind made up this year’s Vamvakou Experience Festival on the slopes of Mount Parnon in Lakonia. With over 20 programs and 1,500 participations, the team of Vamvakou Revival welcomed July with a meeting that is making a striking impression and getting gradually imprinted on visitors’ memory.
The coach Panagiotis Giannakis and Field of Life, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), Gadjo Dilo, Katerina Vrana, the pastry chef Christos Vergados, The Blue Sins, Stavros Spiliakos, Dilberaki, Istorima, Oros Ensemble and many more partners, friends and locals left their own mark on VEF 2022, while organizers, participants and visitors are already saving the date for 2023!
