A few words about the Intercultural Choir

The Intercultural Choir started its course in 2016 with a heterogenous group of Athenians, aiming at bringing close different nationalities and music traditions. Ever since, the members of the Intercultural Choir have been joining their voices in concerts and art collaborations to bring out every time the directness and power of singing and music. The Intercultural Choir has already plenty of members. Ukraine, Cameroon, Slovakia, Tanzania, New Guinea, Syria, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, France, U.S.A., Iran, Kenya, Iraq, Turkey, Poland and Greece are just a few of the countries of origin of the members that have participated in the choir during its 7-year course.  This year, it continues to expand its repertoire by combining folk traditional songs of the world with contemporary vocal music. The connection of voice and body, movement and improvisation are this year too the basic elements of the music co-creation and free expression.
