After their successful performance in “Schoolwave on tour”, realized as part of the Vamvakou Experience Festival 2024, Fairuz return to Vamvakou for a unique musical event at the Voureiko café-restaurant, bringing along compositions of their own and other artists, traditional songs, dance and non-dance pieces, aspiring to trace a historical journey with notes.
A few words about the band: The name of the band comes from the Arabic word Fairuz فيروز, which means ‘turquoise’. Fairuz draw inspiration from oriental sounds and love the culture of all those peoples who are directly related to Greek traditional music! They choose music pieces from around Greece and Asia Minor, incorporating them into their aesthetics while composing music and lyrics of a similar style.
