Art workshop. Strigles and their arts workshop arrive at Vamvakou to pick walnuts… and not only!
By getting together at the school, we will meet Mr. Walnuty, who will show us the way to pick walnuts and create through land art. After collecting the walnuts, what will follow is a workshop of natural yarn or fabric dyeing using walnuts, a folk game with walnuts and messy painting.
Put your comfy shoes on and join our creative group!
A few words about Strigles:
Christina Aggelopoulou is a dream maker! She made her first dreams come true when she was 5, using a small rope and some pasta from her mum’s kitchen. Growing up, she enriched the range of her materials and teenager dreams with colourful ribbons… Although she has studied to become a nursery teacher, she later on dedicated herself to jewelry and accessory design by attending courses on trash pop art and scuola moda povera arte in Mikro Polytexneio art school in Athens.
During that period, she dreamt of her own, crazy creative nest and therefore came up with the workshop named Strigles at Tripoli, an art workshop for both children and grown-ups, through which she goes after her dreams no matter how glorious they might seem! Lately, she has been also making puppets and giving puppetry performances for children.
Her jewelry collections have been hosted by the Benaki Museum, Β. &. Μ. Theocharakis Foundation and Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.
