Playing with patterns

An art & culture workshop comes to Vamvakou to bring us closer to the history and identity of the region, as well as to the tradition of Greek folk art. Children will have the opportunity to observe traditional patterns as depicted in ceramics, traditional textile art, embroidery and silversmithing. A feast of meanders, zigzag motifs, triangles and squares, traditional aprons and costumes! Starting from and inspired by all these images, children aged 6 to 12 years old will create their own artworks by applying techniques like collage and engraving on clay.
