Realistic Caricatures by George Yfantis

Vamvakou square

Caricature, deriving from the Italian word carico (= exaggerate). It is about the art of capturing the similarity of a person in a funny way, aiming at underlying all those features that make him/her special.

The famous street cartoonist, George Yfantis, leaves his spot in Thisio for a short while, where he is practicing his art, rides “Bucephalus” – his favourite motorcycle – and gets to Vamvakou armed with his pencil to sketch the faces of children in his unique way. Let yourself, then, turn into a realistic caricature and see how special your characteristics are!
