Which aromatic plants inhabit Vamvakou? Where can we find them, observe them and smell them? How do these plants grow and what properties do they have? The school programs of Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) traveled from Athens to Vamvakou to give answers to all these questions with the help of children.
Through multi-sensory play observation and research, children come into contact with the colours, scents and textures of the nature of Vamvakou, get familiar with different plant species, comprehend the planting process of a park, focus on Mediterranean aromatic plants and discover their properties! At the end of the programme, the children will select their favourite aromatic plants and plant their seeds in origami pots made of paper in order to take them with them to their neighbourhood!
The program is part of the school programs of the SNFCC.
