Program on environmental education
Getting acquainted with the animals of Mount Parnon! The wider area of Parnon is home to a great number of animals, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish and invertebrates. Through well-known fables by Aesop, several species – rare, endangered or endemic – are being showcased.
The purpose of this activity is to inform and raise awareness among the participants about the ecological value of the area and the need to protect and maintain the biodiversity and its natural wealth. It is also demonstrated how important it is to conserve the protected area in a good ecological state, by highlighting the benefits for the local population.
The program is a part of the collaboration between Vamvakou Revival and Management Body of Mount Parnon and Moustos Wetland.
