Instead of brushes, we use a pendulum to make our own pieces of art! So, how is art related to science and this creative activity?
- Science: We use science (physics), as we study swings and learn about the pendulum.
- Technology: We learn about the history of the pendulum and its use in technological structures, such as the seismograph and clocks.
- Engineering: Along with our team, we find ways to support our structure.
- Art: We create colourful shapes from the different movements of the pendulum, depending on how we adapt our structure.
- Maths: With the older children, we make calculations, changing the parameters of the structure and coming up with graphs.
