A new activity is coming to life in the village of Vamvakou, Lakonia on the slopes of Mount Parnon! One of the main pillars of growth and activation of the team of Vamvakou Revival, as part of the initiative for the revival of the village, realized in collaboration and with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), is the enhancement of entrepreneurship. Therefore, within the framework of this endeavour, an incubator will be set up and operating in the village, that will be hosting new businesses or businesses in the process of being formed in Vamvakou and the wider area-region. This incubator aims at serving as a lever for the attraction and development of new business activity in the area, while significantly contributing to the rejuvenation and upgrade of the quality of the local economy.
The business incubator forms part of the Regional Operational Programme of the Peloponnese 2014-2020 and the Priority Axis “Strengthening the competitiveness, attractiveness and extroversion of enterprises (particularly SMEs), transition to qualitative entrepreneurship spearheaded with the innovation and growth of Regional Value Added”. The project is cοfinanced by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The creation and operation of this business incubator are supported by SNF, as part of the Vamvakou Revival initiative.
