As summer fades out, mount Parnon is inviting you to new outings
September has arrived, bringing along the first cold weather and the beginning of the school year! Autumn is here and the mountain is inviting you to new outings. Every weekend of September, Vamvakou Revival is proposing educational and recreational activities for children, cultural events and art labs for both children and grown-ups, which form part of the initiative for the revival of Vamvakou realized with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
The little robots are returning from their holidays to (Vamvakou Technology Lab fully powered by SNF) and are waiting for their little friends to guide them through endless adventures, while the 3D printers start operating again to print whatever comes to your mind and whatever you design on the computer! Just before the school opening, join us in Vamvakou to “board-play with Alkyoni” in a game lab and experience autumn that has just arrived, “like in the past”, in an educational program for children. We are letting summertime and our holidays go by listening to a “marine music story” with music, dance and music & movement practice.
As the new school year is about to begin, we pass the baton from play to studying through a competitive relay race for young and older children! The “legend of the spider” unfolds to find out about weaving, while using “a red stranded thread”, we come up with unique autumn “thread paintings”. This month, the school of Vamvakou transforms into a big “bedroom”, where we will create together improvised tents, turn daytime into nighttime and the sun into moon and, through theatre play, talk about dreams! Moreover, a unique ceramics workshop, as well as endless play in nature are waiting for children and their families.
